The Gypsies placed great value in the power of cards.
This simple spell was used to protect the family from those
wishing them harm. On the face side of the ace of spades,
the person’s name is written in red ink. On top of this, place
a black candle and three black crow feathers.
At midnight, before the moon turns new, light the black
candle and chant the following:
Let there be no delusion,
You are bound by confusion.
I now send you on your way,
Far from me you shall stay.
When the candle has burned out, bind the card with red
and black thread. Take to the nearest crossroads and bury.
The intention is to cause confusion in the victim’s life so he
or she will no longer be a bother to you.
